This is a ridge in the Colonel Bob Wilderness south of Lake Quinault. It’s just south of the southwest corner of Olympic National Park. I took this on my way home last week after spending a couple days camping up at Graves Creek. There were low clouds hanging over the ridges… just what happens in a rain forest.
For those interested in the technical details: I made some adjustments in the color file in Lightroom, converted to Black and White using Silver Efex Pro, then switched to Photoshop and used the Edge Detect tool. Finally, another adjustment in Photoshop (using levels) lightened up the clouds while keeping the blacks of the trees.
